WHO I AM

Hello! I'm Todd. Let me first start off by saying I'll be 50 years old this coming March. I have 2 sons and a wonderful fiance'. I'm a Respiratory Therapist working mostly with children. I was an ultra marathon runner {over 26 miles} for about 3 years. Prior to that, I was a 5K runner and light to moderate lifter. I'm currently in the process of obtaining certification in personal training and fitness nutrition. Ten years ago, I was about 20 pounds over weight and was a size 36 in the waist. I was about to buy a bigger size pant and that's when I saw a P90X infomercial and thought, if Tony Horton can do it at his age why couldn't I. I bit the bullet, completed the 90 day program and shed 20 pounds like that. Then when I looked in the mirror, I thought "damn I look good, so I did it again." After the second round of P90X, I had put on a ton of muscle so I wanted to move on in this journey and bought INSANITY. Did 2 rounds of that. The Fall of 2010, I ran my first 10K in 42 minutes without every training. I was in the best shape of my life at this time. Everyday after that I started running more and making that a part of my everyday life. I increased my miles every day until I ran my first marathon in March of 2014. The Fall of 2014, I ran and finished my first 50K {31 miles}, the next year I did the same race but completed the 100K {62 miles}. In 2016, I completed multiple 50K's and a 50 miler while also getting serious about lifting. One of these 50K I set my PR and placed #5 out of 120 runners all while Kristi watching and cheering me on. In September 2016, Kristi approached me about iifym and I started endless hours of research on it. We both started practicing this lifestyle and received HUGE results in return. I never would have imagined I could have a 6 pack at age 50. I'm literally in the best shape of my life because of lifting and eating correctly. IIFYM hasn't been easy but it has been well worth the results. By weighing and counting macros, I focus more on making conscience decisions about what I'm going to eat. I enjoy taking time and listening to goals of other people. I believe in them and know they can do whatever they put their mind to. I'm the proof!
