How to live a macro life...Day #5
Day # 5 of "How to start a macro life"
We've discussed over the past 4 nights about how to start a macro life. 👉Day 5 brings us to logging your food.🍽
This step is SUPER IMPORTANT to being successful and obtaining your goals with counting macros. In order to know how much of each macro you are eating and what's left in your "bank" you must log EVERYTHING. YOU.EAT.AND.DRINK! Yes, even veggies. You can't complain that the plan isn't working if your not consistent with weighting and logging.
We both find the lose it app to be the most user friendly and the one we prefer. You can choose whatever app tickles your fancy. 👌
Some tips on logging.....
▪If you weigh raw, log raw ▪When possible, always log in grams ( that's how we weigh and how it should be logged) You may have to search for your food then enter the word grams next to the food. That generally will pull it up. ▪make sure you are double checking what the label says vs. what the app says. You'd be surprised at how off the macros are. ▪If you scan the barcodes to log, make sure you are double checking what scanned is really want you are wanting to log. ▪Log before you eat so you don't forget to log it. Don't wait till the end of the day to log. This is just setting you up to forget and go over on your macros.
Just like with anything else in the macro life, it takes time. Once you get your database saved and built up, logging takes 2 seconds. Again, it worth the patience and time. 👏
